The Prevent Strategy (Prevent) is one part of the UK Government’s counter-terrorism strategy and it aims to stop people becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism.
Prevent covers all forms of terrorism and extremism and some aspects of non-violent extremism. At the heart of Prevent is safeguarding children and adults and providing early intervention to protect and divert people away from being drawn into terrorist activity.
As a Government funded training provider, CareSkills has a legal duty to safeguard all of our learners, and to ensure promotion of the 4 key British values of Democracy, the Rule of Law, Individual Liberty and Respect and Tolerance.
As an employee in the Care sector, many of these values will already be embedded in your daily work practice. Others will be new to you. At CareSkills the 4 values are an integral part of your learning programme, from initial assessment through to your Diploma.
